Patient Reviews: How Rhinolast Has Made a Difference

Buy Rhinolast online

Rhinolast is a prescription-only, non-drowsy antihistamine nasal spray that is effective against hayfever. This medication is available as a nasal suspension which contains 0.1% w/v of azelastine hydrochloride.

Each spray delivers 140 micrograms of azelastine hydrochloride.

Rhinolast is an effective treatment for seasonal and perennial hayfever.

Our online service makes it safe and easy for you to buy Rhinolast nasal spray online and have it delivered straight to your door the next day. To begin your order, simply complete our online medical form for one of our doctors to review.

What is Hayfever?

Hayfever occurs when the immune system mistakes an airborne allergen called pollen for a dangerous substance like a virus or bacteria. It is the immune response, specifically, the release of a chemical called histamine, which leads to the symptoms synonymous with hay fever, such as itchy eyes and a runny nose.

Hayfever can occur seasonally, such as in spring and summer, or can be a chronic condition which produces symptoms all year round (perennial). Depending on your allergies, your hayfever can last for a few weeks to a few months.

Seasonal hayfever is linked to specific triggers like:

  • Tree pollen
  • Grass pollen
  • Ragweed pollen
  • Outdoor fungi or mould

Perennial allergies typically caused by indoor triggers such as dust mites or pet dander.

Hayfever can disrupt daily life and interfere with sleep, so it is important to talk to your doctor about your symptoms and treatment options. It can also exasperate other conditions such as asthma or chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD).

Left untreated, allergic rhinitis can also lead to complication such as sinusitis (an infection and inflammation in the sinus cavities) or ear infections.

How does Rhinolast work?

Rhinolast contains an antihistamine called azelastine hydrochloride. This active ingredient blocks histamine from binding to histamine receptors, reducing or preventing symptoms.

The histamine receptors are located in the nasal membranes that line the inside of the nose. When histamine binds to these receptors, it causes immune responses such as sneezing and inflammation in the nose.

When administered nasally, Rhinolast acts quickly to block the receptors in the nose to prevent the binding of histamine.

How long does Rhinolast take to work?

Rhinolast nasal spray typically begins working within about 15 minutes after administration.

How do I take Rhinolast?

Always follow your doctor's instructions when using Rhinolast nasal spray. A typical dose is one spray in each nostril twice daily - usually once in the morning and once in the evening.

  1. Before using the spray, blow your nose.
  2. Grab the protective cap and pull it upward to remove it.
  3. If it is your first time using the Rhinolast press the nozzle down several times until you see an even spray.
  4. Slide the top of the spray bottle into one nostril with your index and middle finger on each side of the nozzle and your thumb supporting the bottle from the bottom.
  5. Keeping your head straight, press your fingers down to release the spray. Do not tilt your head when delivering the dose.
  6. Use a tissue to wipe the nozzle and replace the protective cap.

Repeat steps 4 and 5 for both nostrils.

If it has been over a week since you used your nasal spray, you may need to prime it again. Repeat step 3 to prime your Rhinolast nasal spray.
