Gyno-Daktarin is an antifungal cream which is used to treat vaginal thrush. The cream comes with a special applicator which makes it easier to apply inside the vagina.
Vaginal thrush is a fungal infection which is caused by a naturally occurring fungus called Candida. This organism is found in the vagina and normally does not cause any problems. However, if the fungus multiplies exponentially, it can cause thrush.
The symptoms of vaginal thrush include:
Gyno-Daktarin clears the infection by killing the fungus.
Your sexual partner may also need to be treated for thrush. Speak to your doctor for further advice.
We understand that when you have a bout of thrush, you need a fast acting treatment such as Gyno-daktarin. With Prescription Doctor, you can get a treatment delivered to your door as soon as tomorrow.
You can buy Gyno-daktarin on prescription from Prescription Doctor's convenient online pharmacy. All you need to do to get started is complete our short online medical form - this is just to ensure that the treatment is suitable for you.
Our online doctor will review your medical form and decide whether the treatment is safe for you. If our doctor deems that the treatment is suitable for you, a prescription will be issued for our UK based pharmacy to dispense. If our doctor approves your order before 3pm on weekdays, our pharmacy will dispatch your item the same day via a discreet next-day delivery, ensuring a fast and private delivery.
Gyno-Daktarin contains an antifungal called miconazole nitrate. This ingredient prevents the fungal cells from producing ergosterol, which the cells need to survive.
Without this chemical, the membranes of the fungal cells become weakened and the contents of the cell spills out. This kills the fungus and treats the infection.
Gyno-Daktarin is available as a topical cream which is applied to the vagina and/or vulva (the opening to the vagina).
You can use Gyno-Daktarin while you are having your period.
To use Gyno-daktarin cream:
Gyno-Daktarin cream is typically used once daily for 10 to 14 days, or twice daily for 7 days. Always follow the doctors' instruction.
Gyno-daktarin cream can also be applied to external thrush infections on the vulva if necessary.
After using the cream, you may wish to use a sanitary towel.
You should continue to use Gyno-Daktarin for as long as your doctor tells you to, even if your symptoms subside. Stopping treatment early can cause the infection to come back.
If you are unsure whether it is safe for you to use Gyno-daktarin cream, speak to your doctor. They will be able to determine the suitability of the treatment based on your medical history.
